Pusha T spent his Saturday (Oct. 15) politicking-- literally. The rapper was on hand at a Miami campaign event to introduce fellow Virginian and vice presidential contender Tim Kaine.

The rapper's speech included encouraging those who had gathered in support of Hillary Clinton's running mate to be sure to get out and vote.

“If [Trump] loses Florida, it’s checkmate,” Pusha T said according to the Miami Herald. “Let’s do some checkmate and win.”

Kaine was in Miami for a private fundraiser but reportedly stopped by Liberty City for a "block party" with Push T, though the rapper did not perform. Pusha T has been busy being vocal politically for a while now. In addition to his support of Clinton, he also recently performed at the #SchoolsNotPrisons Tour to advocate for an end to massive spending on incarceration that is standing in the way of California’s ability to invest in education, health and prevention.

“Putting an end to mass incarceration is important to me. It’s something I’ve watched destroy a generation of my peers”, the rapper said. “I was able to go to Calipatria and see there was still inspiration and hope in the inmates, that was motivation for me to keep fighting for this cause.”
