Premier Lacrosse League Bestows Honor to Albany Fans

Scott Marr has built an amazing Division I lacrosse program at the University at Albany. Multiple men's lacrosse NCAA tournament games have been played on campus to an unprecedented response from fans. The Great Danes lacrosse faithful didn't go unnoticed. The Premier Lacrosse League has brought professional lacrosse to Tom & Mary Casey twice. Each time being a huge success. This tour might even be a little better!

The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) powered by Ticketmaster announced today that the league will return to the University at Albany. Tom & Mary Casey Stadium will have the honor to host Opening Weekend from June 4th to June 5th. "We're excited to bring the opening face-off of the 2022 Premier Lacrosse League season to UAlbany," said Co-Founder and CEO Michael Rabil. "The Capital District is home to some of the best lacrosse fans in the world. Their energy during our 2019 and 2021 events has elevated the atmosphere."

The schedule at Casey Stadium will be busy and full of former UAlbany Great Dane lacrosse players. Lyle Thompson, Connor Fields and Blaise Reardon are just a few of the UAlbany players that star in the world's top professional lacrosse league. The Saturday night will feature a doubleheader with face-offs scheduled for 6:15PM ET and 9:00PM ET under the lights. Another doubleheader will take place on Sunday afternoon at 1:00PM ET and 3:45PM ET.
