MCA Of The Beastie Boys Dead At 47

RIP to a hip hop/alternative legend, Adam Yauch aka MCA of the Beastie Boys who passed away today at the age of 47.

Adam was receiving radiation therapy for multiple forms of cancer. There’s no connection between his death and illness at the moment.

Adam linked up with Beastie Boys co-founders, Mike D, Mix Master Mike and Ad Rock in 1979. They were nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year.

Very few groups have crossed over to as many musical genres and fan bases as the Beastie Boys. You’ll be missed, Adam! R.I.P.
