Lil Xan is all good on taking on the whole street credibility thing. This past weekend, TMZ reported that the rapper was hanging out in a Redlands, Calif. Del Taco on Thursday (March 15) when he was surrounded by a group of high schoolers who were mad he called Tupac Shakur boring.

From there, he allegedly fled to a nearby YMCA where an officer eventually picked him up and escorted him back to his whip.

In the hours that followed, the hip-hop community expressed their disapproval, but Xan doesn't care about breaking any street codes since, well, he's not from the streets. He responded to the incident and anyone critiquing his actions in a video he posted to social media.

"They're saying I'm a pussy for the police escorting me away from a group of 20 people that wanted to jump me," Xan said in the vid. "And, you can call me a pussy all you want, but, I am not a gang-banging rapper. Am I supposed to act hard? Am I supposed to not fuck with the police 'cause I'm a rapper? Oh wait, I have to huh? 'Cause that's what cool rappers do?"

Elsewhere in the short vid, Xan explains that police aren't always bad and that contacting them was, given the circumstances, one of the only reasonable things to do.

In other Xan news, the rapper recently dropped off his "Betrayed (Remix)" featuring Yo Gotti and Rich The Kid, and his debut album, Total Xanarchy, drops April 6.
