It isn't quite the Hot Boys reunion we've been hearing about, but former Cash Money collaborators Mannie Fresh, Juvenile, Lil Wayne and Birdman have reunited on a new track courtesy of Mass Appeal Records. Word first came out last month that Mannie, Juve and Tune would be coming out with a joint project, and "Hate" represents the first piece of evidence to back it up. And as if the three on a track together once again wasn't enough, Birdman blesses us all with the kind of intro and outro he's perfected with decades in game.

With Mannie on the boards, Juvenile and Wayne exchange bars at a nostalgia-inducing clip, with Juvie rapping, "You got too much sugar in your blood, diabetic / You sick you got the hate disease and I ain’t tryna get it." Wayne meanwhile elaborates on the song's title, spitting, "You be hating on a nigga like police, nigga / You be barkin, you aint nothin but a maltese, nigga / When these sharks hunt we see you, that be your teeth, nigga / It’s Tune and Juvie we got Mannie on the beat, nigga / You m-a-d nigga."

The song also represents the first sonic reunion for Wayne and Birdman who had been low and high key beefing for the past year, but squashed things back in January. In a written statement, Mannie says that "Hate" is just a sign of what's to come on his upcoming Mass Appeal Records project.

"I've put a lot of effort into making this track happen," he said. "I've always been the liaison between these guys, they took my word and put their trust in me in bringing everyone together for this hot track. You definitely can expect more from this project I'm about to drop with Mass Appeal Records. This is just the foreplay, you can expect the eargasm later."
