It looks like Lil Nas X could be getting that Lil Uzi Vert-assisted “Panini” remix after all. Things were looking quiet for Nas X after Uzi didn't offer up a reply to his direct message he sent on social media last Sunday.

TMZ caught up with Uzi on Thursday (Aug. 1) and he told them that he’s interested in collaborating with Nas X on a “Panini” remix. The Philly rapper, who recently celebrated his 25th birthday by buying Floyd Mayweather’s used Bugatti, told the media outlet that he didn’t leave Nas X on read when asked to do the remix.

“I didn’t leave him on read, I liked [the song], I sent a heart to Lil Nas X,” Uzi said. When asked if he would do a “Panini” remix, Uzi said he's all for it.

“If he [wants] me to do it, okay,” Uzi continued. “I never met him but I’ll meet him. I can’t wait.”

So, it looks like the ball is in Nas X’s court. Hopefully, the Atlanta rapper will reach out again and make both of their fanbases' dreams come true.

In the meantime, Nas X is basking in his recent Billboard Hot 100 chart achievement. The 20-year-old artist's song, "Old Town Road," holds the distinct record of having most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart at 17 consecutive weeks, shattering the previous record-holder Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men with "One Sweet Day."
