Lil Mosey, Dave East, Doja Cat and More: New Projects This Week
Several anticipated projects premiered over the course of the last seven days. Look below to check out all of the freshly released albums, mixtapes and EPs of the week.
Months after locking in a slot as a 2019 XXL Freshman Class member, Lil Mosey further establishes himself with Certified Hitmaker. The Interscope Records artist’s sophomore album features 14 tracks including the Chris Brown collaboration “G Walk,” “Never Scared” with Trippie Redd and “Stuck in a Dream,” which features Gunna.
Dave East has come a long way. After a few years on the grind, the multifaceted artist—who recently received praise for his portrayal of rap legend Method Man in Hulu's Wu-Tang: An American Saga—drops his debut album, Survival. Complete with 20 tracks, the project features “Everyday” with Gunna, the Jacquees-assisted “Alone” and the heartfelt Nipsey Hussle tribute “The Marathon Continues.” DJ Premier, Teyana Taylor, Max B and Nas, who appears on the single “Godfather 4,” can also be found throughout Survival. The Harlem native’s Survival Tour starts in Atlanta on Nov. 22.
Doja Cat flexes her skills as a rapper and singer on her sophomore effort, Hot Pink. On the follow-up to her debut album, Amala, the colorful artist teams up with Gucci Mane, Tyga and Smino. The Los Angeles native’s anticipated 12-track project features several singles including “Bottom Bitch,” “Rules,” “Cyber Sex” and the Tyga-assisted “Juicy,” which has already reached over 40 million views on YouTube.
