Killer Mike Mourns the Loss of His Mother

It's been a tough week for the hip-hop community after the sudden loss of Prodigy of Mobb Deep, but it's been an even tougher week for Killer Mike. The Run the Jewels member is currently mourning the loss of his mother, as he revealed that she passed away this week.

While the "Pots N Pans" rapper did not reveal details of his mom's death, such as the cause of her passing, Mike posted a beautiful tribute to her on Instagram.

"My mother has transitioned to be with our ancestors," he wrote on IG. "All those who believe as I do know energy cannot be destroyed only transformed. I pray she is with our elders in someway and that peace and harmony follow them wherever their souls may roam. I love u Denise with all my heart and soul i do! Your children are successful, your house is in order. Your legacy is intact. You are the reason I know with no doubt in my heart My God is A Black Woman. Goodbye Mom. This is definitely a difficult time for the politically charged rapper, but fans have been offering non-stop support and their condolences to the Southern icon during his mourning period.
