Keak Da Sneak and Mozzy Bounce Back for New Song “Him Not Them”
It's good to hear Keak Da Sneak rapping again. The Oakland rapper was shot eight times in August, and now, the Bay Area legend is back with new music, dropping “Him Not Them" featuring Mozzy. The track is off his Withdrawl album, due out Nov. 3.
On “Him Not Them," Keak and Mozzy make an incredible team "Hopped in the boss we in the loft counting gigabytes/100 bands, count it twice, got to get it right," Mozzy raps. The Mekanix-produced track is a slapper, and the record is a statement to the world that Keak and Mozzy are one of a kind artists.
"The hook says it all: "Not he/It’s me/Not them/I’m him,'" Keak Da Sneak told Fader through email. "I could have been born anybody, but I’m so glad the Mack god chose me to be Keak Da Sneak. This is me loving myself and being appreciative all the while feelin' myself."
In August, Keak was shot eight times in Richmond, Calif. He was rushed to the hospital, and at one point was in critical condition. Fans, including Mozzy, took to social media to send prayers to Keak Da Sneak. Since the shooting, the hyphy legend has been recovering and working on Withdrawl.
