Last week we reported a Mobb Deep 20th Anniversary Tour. I found it odd that the Queens natives planned to due shows up and down the west coast, but neglected to book any dates in NY. Dipset seems to be doing it the right way.

The Harlem clique is gearing up for a 10th anniversary show in the city that brought them together. Juelz made recent comments saying an anniversary album could follow.

“We definitely going to get back in the studio and start working on some music and if the vibe is good and the music is coming out the way it’s supposed to come out, we going to put that record out.”

Santana has high expectations, so there’s always a possibility the project will never come together. He compared it to their last collaborative release, Diplomatic Immunity.

“We’ve been talking about it. We want to do it right. The first Diplomatic Immunity album was a double CD classic. So if we give the people something, we got to give them something close to that.”

The album dropped back in 2003. It featured a remix of Cam’ron’s “Hey Ma” and “Dipset Anthem.” The follow up, Diplomatic Immunity 2 featured the Juelz record, “S.A.N.T.A.N.A.”

The anniversary show is happening on March 25th at B.B. Kings. The show will also feature music by Funkmaster Flex.
