
Roommate Murdered in a Quiet Albany Neighborhood, Police Make Arrest
It started as a welfare check, but now Albany Police are investigating a murder that took place over the weekend on a quiet, residential street in Albany.
Originally, police were asking for the public's help after they found a 48-year-old man dead in his home on Sunday, but an updated post by the Albany Police informed the public that an arrest was made.
Police Find Body in Albany
According to the Albany Police Department, on Sunday, at around 10:35 a.m., officers responded "to a residence on Rose Court to check the welfare of an individual who had not been heard from since yesterday afternoon."

When officers arrived at the home on Rose Court, a quiet, residential street in the Delaware Ave neighborhood, they found the body of 48-year-old Justin Bishop.
Police in Albany say that Bishop was deceased when they arrived and that he had multiple lacerations to his head and neck.
Police Make an Arrest
Albany Police believe they may have found their man in connection with Bishop's murder, and have arrested Ashley Heshmat, Bishop's 44-year-old roommate.
Online sources say the two men lived at 23 Rose Court in Albany, which is located in the "Delaware Ave Neighborhood".
According to police, Heshmat has been charged with one count of Murder 2nd.
and was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court this morning and Remanded to Albany County Jail.
