Capital Region Regal Cinemas Offering $1 Movies Starting in June

Summer break is almost here, and if you are looking for a cheap way to keep the kids entertained, Regal Cinemas has you covered. The theater chain is bringing back its popular Summer Movie Express program with $1 family movie tickets all summer long.

When Does The $1 Summer Movie Series Run?

The annual series kicks off June 1st and runs Monday through Thursday at 11 a.m. A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Regal says the program has been a summer tradition for families since 1991, giving movie fans a cool place to escape the heat without spending a fortune.

Here is the schedule:

This year’s lineup includes plenty of family favorites and newer releases.

June 1st to 4th: “Sing” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.”

June 8th to 11th: “Kung Fu Panda 4” and “David.”

June 15th to 18th: “KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along” and “The Wild Robot.”

June 22nd to 25th: “The Bad Guys 2” and “The Garfield Movie.”

June 29th to July 2nd: “A Minecraft Movie” and “Sonic the Hedgehog 2.”

July 6th to 9th: “How to Train Your Dragon” and “Sonic the Hedgehog 3.”

Other movies throughout the summer include “Scoob!,” “Paddington in Peru,” “Dog Man,” “Despicable Me 4,” “The Sandlot,” and “Muppets Treasure Island.”

Regal is also offering discounted snacks, including deals on Dippin’ Dots and kids snack packs. Participating Capital Region locations include Colonie, Clifton Park, East Greenbush, Queensbury, and Guilderland.
