Bills Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs Will Soon Play Cornerback?

The Buffalo Bills are getting healthier as the week goes by, which is a relief for fans.

The team lost both linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones long-term. They lost cornerback Tre'Davious White for the season.

Edge rusher Greg Rousseau and cornerback Christian Benford should be back for Sunday night, but Dane Jackson could miss the game with a foot injury. We will see if he is in fact declared out by head coach Sean McDermott tomorrow.

The Bills are now thin on defense. They did bring back cornerback Josh Norman to the practice squad, along with signing A.J. Klein from the practice squad.

Could the Bills really start having their best wide receiver also play cornerback?

Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs told the media that he would be more than willing to play some reps at cornerback; if the Bills need him to.

This is something to be sure asked about with McDermott on Friday.

Diggs' little brother Travon Diggs is a starting cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys, so Stefon likely known everything there is to know about the position and what it takes.

However, this would require Stefon Diggs to play more and not only be more tired, but also further risk of injury. Chances are, McDermott would never want to do it, but it has been done in a few instances over the years in the NFL.

New England Patriots Pro Bowl wide receiver Troy Brown famously also played cornerback for a bit in the early 2000's.
