New York State Dairy Queen Giving Away Ice Cream for FREE
It is Dairy Queen's FREE Cone Day coming up and there is some good news at some of the locations in New York State.
When is FREE Cone Day at Dairy Queens in New York State?
The Dairy Queens are doing free cone day on March 20, 2025. That is the first day of Spring for 2025. It is one per person.
Do you need the Dairy Queen app in order to get the free ice cream cone?
Some of the locations you will need the app in order to get your free ice cream for ice cream day. But, there are some locations that will let you have your FREE cone without the Dairy Queen app. The Eden, New York Dairy Queen is not requiring people to have the app and ice cream fans we loving it. They are also asking customers to donate to a big, local charity on Free Cone Day.
According to the Free Cone post on the Eden Dairy Queen's Facebook page:
Free Cone Day is Thursday, March 20th. We'll be open 12p-9p.
The purpose of Free Cone Day is to raise money for Oishei Children's Hospital. While no donation is ever required, we would love a donation in any amount from those who are able.

Once the weather hits even above 40 degrees around New York State you will start seeing ice cream shops open up and people FLOCK to them. Kone King in Western New York has a couple of locations and they announced that they gave away 2,435 cones on opening day this year.
