If you’re a doomsday prepper or enjoy buying essential household items in bulk, there may be a new shopping destination for you!  A little birdie is telling us that Costco is looking to set up shop at a Capital Region location.

The Capital Region store would be a sister location to a soon-to-be-opened store in the Syracuse area.

Much like BJ’s or Sam’s Club, Costco is only open to members and their guests.  The store focuses on selling in bulk at low prices.  There isn’t a whole lot of variety, though.  They’re known for selling signature brands to help keep prices down.

Memberships usually run around $55 per year for a gold star membership. Clifton Park, Saratoga and Colonie are all potential landing zones if they decide to open in the Capital Region.  We’ll keep you posted with any updates!
