It was an awesome 2022 Saratoga Racecourse meet.  From July 14th through Labor Day it absolutely flew by as it always does.  I thoroughly enjoyed being at the track all of those days covering both TV and radio side.  Everyone at NYRA did a phenomenal job per usual this summer as it felt like the attendance and races were better than ever before.  Here is my quick take on this from The Times Union:
I honestly can’t think of a better Saratoga Racing Season, than the one that just ended on Monday. Labor Day was probably the worst weather day of the meet, because overall the weather was phenomenal. Attendance was once again over 1 million, and for the third time in the last four years a new all sources handle record was set at the Spa. The racing this summer was tremendous start to finish, and you could feel the enthusiasm for the sport growing in Saratoga. Chad Brown wins the training title and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr had a monster season and ran away with the riding title. The 40 day meet is officially over, but the countdown to next summer‘s 2023 meet is officially underway.

MJ and I had a lot of fun broadcasting live every Friday from the Cutwater Stretch at Saratoga all summer meet long.  We recapped the 2022 Saratoga season with WNYT Horse Racing Analyst and Handicapper John Pricci earlier this morning on Big Board Sports.  Below is our full interview with him.

I will miss Saratoga as it my favorite time of the year but the countdown begins to the 2023 Saratoga Racing Season next July.
