Flying Lotus' first feature film is so shocking it made viewers walk out of a screening. The producer's movie Kuso premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and caused many attendees to leave before it ended, according to The Verge.

In The Verge's review of the film, writer Chris Plante called Kuso "the grossest film ever made." One of the more vulgar scenes in the movie features a man having sex with a talking boil on a woman’s neck. The boil continues to speak as its filled with semen. Another ridiculous scene sees a doctor (played by the legendary George Clinton) giving birth to a giant cockroach from his anus.

The official plot of Kuso is supposed to the story of the aftermath of Los Angeles’ worst earthquake nightmare. The film follows the broadcasts of a makeshift network of discarded televisions, traveling between screens and aftershocks into the twisted lives of the survivors. According to early reviews, the plot is a complete afterthought. The movie's goal is distubb the viewer at all costs.

The Verge's review did note that there is some commentary about Los Angeles, racism and the bloody history of the United States. Horror website Bloody Digusting also spoke positively about the film, calling Kuso the quintessential gross-out midnight movie. Reviewer Ben Larned compared it favorably to bizarre movies like Un Chien Andalou, The Holy Mountain and Eraserhead.

Kuso does not have release date at this time. It sounds like the film will have trouble getting a major studio to distribute it, so it may end up on a streaming service.

FlyLo responded to the walk-out on Twitter, saying it was only about 20 people out of 400 who left.
