The Bulletin of the Atomic-Scientists Science and Security Board says the hands of the Doomsday Clock will stay at three minutes to midnight.

The group that warns of the impending end of the world says progress in the Iran nuclear agreement and Climate Change initiatives worked out in Paris are only small rays of hope in a dark world "full of potential for catastrophe."

The statement accompanying the Doomsday Clock decision can be seen at http://thebulletin.org.  It opens with the statement "Three minutes is too close. Far too close... The decision (not to move the hands of the clock) is not good news, but an expression of dismay that world leaders continue to fail to focus their efforts and the world's attention on reducing the extreme danger posted by nuclear weapons and climate change."

Since its creation in 1947, the Doomsday Clock has been adjusted 21 times, ranging from two minutes to midnight in 1953 to 17 minutes before midnight in 1991.
