Dipset to Reunite, Tour and Release New Mixtape in 2015 [PHOTO]
New Year, New Music, New Dipset. The famed Harlem group the Diplomats are planning to reunite, go on a tour and drop a new mixtape this year.
Hot 97 radio personality Funkmaster Flex went on Instagram today (Jan. 1) to confirm that the group -- Cam’ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey -- are working on a new mixtape, hosted by Flex, Swizz Beatz, DJ Mustard and DJ Khaled. Apparently, the Dipset members “put the bulls---” aside and are ready to reunite for the fans.
Flex will reveal more details on Monday (Jan. 5) when the "Dipset Takeover" begins on Hot 97 at 7PM ET.
“No gossip bulls--- just new freestyles and reuniting like the bosses they are!!!!” he writes.
In addition, Dipset will embark on a five club mini-tour in the New York area and then release a mixtape afterward.
“The wait is over... I can't take it any more!!!! This Dipset project has to happen!!!! Street wants it!!!!!” writes Flex (add your bombs here).
The Diplomats have reunited on several occasions but nothing really panned out from their previous reunions.
However, with Funkmaster Flex spearheading this "Dispet Takeover," we can expect some new heat from the Harlem rap crew in 2015.
Right now, we will just have to wait until Monday to see what Dipset has planned out for the new year.
