Colonie Man Fires Shotgun Yelling “America” On Election Night

The Election 2016 madness continues, with a local Colonie man being arrested for shooting a shotgun into his neighboring yard. All because he thought Hillary Clinton was going to win the election. As we all can see the irony in the situation, is that she didn't win ! To make matters worse he hid the gun in a kids playhouse. Here is the official story from Times Union.

COLONIE -- An intoxicated 57-year-old man yelling "America!" fired a shotgun into the air outside his Loundonville home on Election Day, before hiding the weapon inside a children's playhouse in his neighbor's yard, police said.

"He was upset about the possibility of Hillary Clinton winning the presidency," Colonie police spokesman Lt.Robert Winn said.

Police arrested Edward T. Corey outside his 34 Shaker Drive home after a 911 caller reported shots fired at 4:41 p.m. Nov. 8.

Corey faces two misdemeanor charges: reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling. His shotgun was taken by police as evidence, the arrest report states.

This has to be one of the craziest reason to get arrested. There is no reason for anyone who lives in Colonie, NY to be that riled up about politics that he is willing to take arms against the government.

Whichever way the election went I'm sure Colonie will be perfectly fine in the next four years. I've been to Colonie it's very nice, he shouldn't be that upset about life. He didn't even wait to find out who won the election before he wanted to go outside and put others lives in danger. Drunk or not, he should definitely be forced to have a medical mental evaluation as well as the criminal charges he is facing.

Was this worth fire a gun and possibly taking a life ? Then to make matters even worse he hid the shotgun in a kids play house. This could have ended in the child finding the gun and shooting someone else or themselves. Corey is the poster child for gun control.

Why don't these people get this engaged in local politics ? Local politics which impact day to day life way more than the presidential election. Its evident tha alcohol and politics don't mix. Hopefully he learned his lesson, and will watch his beer intake while being high off of Fox News.
