Some people like snow-covered mountains, some people like to see flowers bloom in the spring or enjoy summer scenery, but for me seeing leaves change their colors in the fall is the absolute best!

Without a doubt 2020 has been a year like no other in my lifetime. The experts say that outdoors is much better than indoors, and I couldn’t agree more.

If you haven’t had a chance to get outdoors and enjoy yourself, now is the time to enjoy nature’s beauty in fall foliage. Upstate New York has been said to have some of the best fall colors in the country. The Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountains are everyday sites for people in the area, but these sites should never be taken for granted.

Over the weekend I had an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Capital Region. I had a chance to go to the Albany Pine Bush Preserve. I got to witness firsthand some of the plants and hiking trails. I didn’t get to see the animals and butterflies that they are known for, but maybe I will next time. I stopped by the Watervliet Pumping Station as well. The history of the station dates back to the 19th century.

I drove around downtown Albany and the surrounding areas and I was able to capture some beautiful pictures. I’ve lived in several regions throughout the US, and I’ve seen a lot of beautiful scenery. I believe that the Capital Region is hands-down the most beautiful region in the fall.

Don’t let the season pass by without taking advantage of some of the beauty of nature right in our area. Check out some of the images I was able to capture and share some of your own.
