In the last couple of days alone, two different rappers said they're naming their new projects after Tupac Shakur. Troy Ave, who said he's calling his next mixtape Nu Pac and Boosie Badazz, who said his new album will be titled Boo Pac.

In fact, the Baton Rouge MC recently spoke about the album title and explained why he named it that.

"I know it's going to be a big old thing but you know, it's in my heart," said Boosie during an interview with VladTV. "That's what I want to do. It's a double-disc, 26 songs, because I'm my generation's Tupac. A lot of people didn't grow up on Tupac. A lot of people didn't grow up on Biggie. Those who love that kind of music grew up on me. That's one reason [I'm naming the album that]."

Elsewhere in the interview, the 34-year-old said he wanted to bring the feeling of Pac's music back, because it's been missing for way too long.

"Another reason, it's like, the Pac music is forgot about now," explained Boosie. "That real music that touch you. That feel like he was brought into your household with you. Like he was your cousin. That music is forgot about right now."
