Hot 99.1 is teaming up with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to participate in this year’s Creative Expressions Contest.

All month long we will be highlighting heroes in Black History. The Creative Expressions Contest for Black History Month features students from all over the Capital District dropping facts about a Black History Month hero.

Today we welcome Academy of the Holy Names student, Sophie Kalish, who tells us all about Harriet Tubman.

The Black History Month Creative Expression contest is made Hot by KIPP Tech Valley Primary Charter School. Join them for an open house Monday, Feb. 27 when they will be enrolling students for the August 2017 term.
