It's hard to put a price on good chemistry, whether on wax or on stage, but Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have both, as the duo, collectively known as Twenty88, took the Late Late Show stage Thursday night (May 26) to perform their track "On the Way." The two musicians enter from separate wings, but untie at centerstage, finishing off the performance by reciting the song's lyrics in unison and nearing closer to one another.

The two released their debut project as Twenty88 just this March, with a video for "Out of Love" one of the albums eight cuts shortly after. Big Sean currently covers XXL's Spring 2016 issue, and spoke on his professional and personal relationship with Aiko, saying, "That’s one of my best friends in the world. She’s real special.”

“It feels like I’m making music with one of my friends,” he said. “It’s on the same level as just how making music with Kanye. It feels comfortable with her in the studio...I wrote a lot of this project myself. There were times I got to write my singing verses for her.” Aiko says the experience of singing Sean's words was a bit foreign, but praises his handiwork. “It was new to me because I’m used to writing all my stuff,” she says. “He did a really good job. He’s a really good songwriter.”
