ASAP Rocky and Danny Brown Are Rap Warrior Ninjas on ‘The Eric Andre Show’
As the entertainment world descends upon Austin, TX for the annual South by Southwest festival, exclusives and previews of upcoming music and television shows are starting to hit the news cycle. Comedian Eric Andre was a part of "The Arcade" comedy showcase at Fader Fort last night (March 14) and showed a clip of the upcoming season of The Eric Andre Show. In the skit called "Rap Warrior Ninja," A$AP Rocky and Danny Brown are forced to freestyle while blindfolded and walk through a obstacle course akin to NBC's American Ninja Warrior show. Unsurprisingly, hilarity ensues as Rocky and Danny each take a spill while Andre and comedian Hannibal Burress hurl insults at them. Season four of The Eric Andre Show will premiere this summer on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
Andre is an admitted hip-hop fan and in 2013, he told XXL about the time he smoked a joint dipped in embalming fluid while at a Wu-Tang Clan concert. "I love Wu-Tang. I saw Wu-Tang with Rage Against The Machine when I was 14 years old," he said. "It changed my life. I was high as hell. I had pants that were too big for me, my belt broke and I got rained on. I took a poop in the woods earlier because I got there too early. I smoked embalming fluid by accident. My friend stole a joint from this kid but he didn’t know the kid dipped it in embalming fluid. Everything looked like it was in Super Nintendo [laughs]."
Other rap personalities. that have joined the bizarre talk show include Chance The Rapper, Questlove, Tyler, the Creator, Wiz Khalifa, Nick Cannon and more.
