Albany Police Want Help Identifying Bank Robber
It always amazing to me that people think they can rob a bank and get away with it. With cell phones and high def cameras virtually everywhere, my thinking is that while the robber might sneak away with cash, they won't have it for too long before he or she gets caught.
Even with all this technology, sometimes the men and woman in blue need a little backup, and that's where the public comes into play.
On their Facebook page Wednesday afternoon, the Albany Police released high def security camera photos of the man they say robbed an Albany bank back on July 2nd. There are two photos, both offering a glimpse of the young male wearing a white Kangol-style hat that sprouts long, wavy, raggedy, shoulder length hair.
Albany Police say that on Friday, July 2nd, just before 3PM, officers responded to the Key Bank at 561 New Scotland Avenue in Albany with reports that they were being robbed.
"An employee of the bank told officers that the pictured suspect approached the counter and demanded money from them by passing a note that implied he had a gun. The employee complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash." Albany Police Dept. Facebook
