50 Cent and Tyrese are among a slew of celebrities joining the fight to shed light on the racial diversity at this year's Academy Awards ceremony. 50 and Tyrese went on social media urging that Chris Rock step down from hosting the Oscars.

The Oscars boycott started heating up after the nominees were announced for the 88th annual Academy Awards. Many noticed that all of the 20 nominations in the acting categories went to white actors sparking the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag to resurface.

Now, many Hollywood elites such as Quincy Jones calling for a boycott. Jones said he was called to present an award with Pharrell Williams and Common, but he had one condition.

"When I'm back [in Los Angeles], I'm going to ask [them] to let me speak for five minutes on the lack of diversity. If not, I'm not going to [present]," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "There are two ways to do it," he added. "You can boycott or you can fix it. It's frightening to see 90 percent white and 80 percent white male."

While others such as Jada Pinkett-Smith and Spike Lee have stated that they won't be attending this year's ceremony, others are asking for the host, Chris Rock, to step down.

"Chris please do not do the oscars awards. You mean a lot man, don't do it. Please," wrote 50 Cent on an Instagram post. R&B singer Tyrese also had some words for the 50-year-old comedian. "Chris Rock do the right thing make a statement - were relying on you to DO the right thing..... There is NO JOKE YOU CAN CRACK TO EVER CHANGE THE WAY WE ALL FEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

There's at least one person who won't be watching from home either -- Snoop Dogg.

"Somebody was actually like am I gonna watch the motherf------ Oscars. F--- no," said Snoop in a 15-second video on Instagram.
