Family issues can be tough.

Because of 50 Cent's strained relationship with his son, Marquise Jackson, he hasn't had the strongest bond with him, or his mother, Shaniqua Tompkins. And recently, 50 expressed that he's overwhelmed with joy because in 396 days, he'll be off child support.

This past Monday (Sept. 12), 50 posted a picture of a countdown that he has set on his phone on Instagram. The countdown is to when he'll finally be released from child support for his son, Marquis Jackson. Of course, 50 exuded signs of pettiness when he captioned the picture, "Man real life is gonna start Sooners then you think. Sad part is I wish you well, good #Shaniggagetajob."

50 and his son have been at odds over the past few years. First, Marquise felt replaced by his younger brother, and that his father totally forgot about him. In addition, Shaniqua claimed that 50 once sent his son vile text messages reading, "“F--- you stop texting me” and “I don’t have a son anymore.” In addition, who can forget when 50 was blocked entry from his son's graduation.

Marquise saw his dad's Instagram post and chimed in with his thoughts regarding the countdown.

“Don’t worry I’ll make u proud! Just don’t forget to tell me happy birthday that day cause u missed a few,” he wrote.

Obviously, the continued issues between 50 and his son are sad. Hopefully, they can bury the hatchet sooner, rather than later.

Take a look at Marquise's response below.
