Tech N9ne’s Tiny Desk Concert: Krizz Kaliko Joins for “Fragile”
Just a few days after T.I.'s appearance, Tech N9ne stopped by NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series to perform four-song set. Joined by a three-piece backing band, Tech also brought along frequent collaborator Krizz Kaliko to assist him with records.
Up first for Tech and Krizz was "Dysfunctional" from his 2009 album Sickology 101. Originally featuring Big Scoob and Krizz, Tech N9ne and Kaliko showcased their rapid-fire flows as they rapped over the rock-infused beat.
After a performance of "Aw Yeah (interVENTion)," Tech and Krizz went on to do the Kendrick Lamar-assisted "Fragile." The Kansas City rapper also gave a shoutout to K. Dot at the end of the track, saying, "Too bad I couldn't get Kendrick here, it would have been perfect."
Tech wrapped up his set with one of his signature songs, "Speedom (Worldwide Choppers 2)." Although Tech couldn't get Eminem at NPR with him, he and Krizz were still able to fire off their chopper-style speed rap as they spit their frantic bars.
Earlier this year, Tech N9ne dropped his 20th solo album, Planet. The 19-track project includes a number of guest appearances including features from Machine Gun Kelly, Krizz Kaliko, Snow Tha Product and more.
