Looks like New York State is getting another raise which means minimum wage all across New York State will increase 70 cents.

According to News Channel 6 this is the fourth consecutive year minimum wage is going up in the state of New York. Regular upstate NY workers will make up to $11.80 an hour while fast food workers will make $13.75 an hour.

With the new increase in wages there are some concerns about it affecting the overall state budget in the future but for right now the wage increase has been accepted and implemented for 2020.

I think this is good news for those employed in New York State. Even though it is a small wage increase it’s still an increase and in time hopefully it’ll go up more because health care costs and everyday living costs seem to go up as well. For more information on wage and billing visit here.
