Arguably the worst McDonald's in the Capital District is scheduled to close in December.

According to the Times Union, the McDonalds located at South Pearl Street and Madison Avenue in Albany is scheduled to close after their lease is up in the middle of December.

Why? There wasn't any specific reason given in the statement from corporate, but I have my own conclusion: corporate probably had enough of how terrible this particular franchise was.

This particular McDonald's has been the worst McDonald's I've ever frequented. The service was iffy, the food would be served cold. Floor was always wet. Don't even get me started on the ice cream machine - that thing might as well not exist. I could go on, but you get the point.

As much as I want to blame the employees for their horrible service, I had to remember that it starts from the top. The way the establishment has been run since I've been in the Capital Region was almost like the owners/franchisee and management were waiting for corporate to pull the plug and didn't bother to try to make it better.

I have NEVER heard of a McDonald's closing. There's practically one every three to five miles away from each other, so you KNOW it had to be bad.
