Upstate NY is a great place to be if you're a automotive aficionado, especially in the fall when the air is crisp and you don't have to worry about dehydrating on a 90 degree day.

Quite a few car shows make it to the area during the summer months, but this one will take place in October. 2022 marks the 20th anniversary for 'The Way We Were' Car Show in Ballston Spa. The event is set for Sunday October 9th and will take place along Front Street.

Dan Barner is the chairperson for the show, he told News 10 how important it is for the downtown shops:

It’s always a great event that brings people downtown to support our businesses and it is an important fundraiser to support the excellent work that the Ballston Spa Business & Professional Association does. We’re doing our very best to make it extra special this year in celebration of the show’s 20th anniversary.

If you have a classic car you're interested in showcasing, registrations are being accepted in a number of different categories, which you can find on the car show's official site.

If you're a vendor who would like to buy a space at the event, you can also reserve your spot now.

In case of rain, the event will be held on October 16th.
