Juneteenth is the celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. In Albany the African American Community put together a Juneteenth celebration at Capital South Campus Center.

The African American Community Center's Juneteenth Celebration will be taking place at the Capital South Campus Center. This year's theme is "It's a Family Affair." That means there will be activites at the celebration for all ages.

There will be a performance from The Drummers with Karen Bernor Also various black-owned businesses and organizations will be present while performances from local talent groups take the stage at 20 Warren St.

The event kicks off with a parade from Sunshine School (Lincoln Park Rd.), to the Capital South Campus Center Grounds at 12pm.

Tip: There will be prime parade viewing on Eagle St. and Warren St.
