One thing is for sure about the Capital Region, they love their Arena Football.  The Albany Empire started the season very strong with a 4-1 record and now have lost three straight and three of their four losses have come at the hands of the Carolina Cobras.  I hope they can get back on track with a win this Sunday at home at the MVP Arena against Columbus.  Here is my quick take on this as seen in the Times Union:

Maybe a Sunday 2pm kickoff will get things turned around for the Albany Empire. The Empire needs to stop the bleeding and beat Columbus at the MVP Arena, and maybe, just maybe an afternoon kickoff with bring out more families and kids. I still can’t wrap my head around why attendance is not better this season. Despite a three game losing streak, head coach Tom Menas has a good football team that can still win the NAL championship. The Capital Region has always supported Arena Football. It’s not too late to jump on the bandwagon, and supper an Empire team that will be in must win mode on Sunday.

I have a good feeling that there will be a nice attendence and a good crowd on Friday at the MVP Arena.  The Empire need this win and more importantly they need the fan support as well.
