After a very long hiatus, Yasiin Bey returns with a brand new album. His collaborative project, Dec. 99th, features Bey spitting stream-of-consciousness rhymes with journalist Ferrari Sheppard providing the production.

Previously released singles “Local Time,” “N.A.W.” and “Seaside Panic Room” are included on the album. Among the standout tracks on the 10-song project include the reggae-infused “Shadows in the Dark,” the moody “IT GOES,” the otherworldly-sounding “Special Dedication” and the piano-driven funk of “Heri.”

Aside from the Dec. 99th album, Bey is currently on his farewell tour. The 43-year-old rapper will perform at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, N.Y., tonight (Dec. 21) before closing out his trek in Washington, D.C., on Dec. 31 through Jan. 2, 2017.

Meanwhile, Bey and Sheppard will make their late-night debut on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (Dec. 23).

Although Bey says he's quitting the rap game, he does have two more albums in his musical chamber. He has a solo album, Negus In Natural Person, and a Mannie Fresh-produced project called As Promised. No word on when those two albums will be released but Shappard said the albums are finished.
