Going to school near New Haven, Connecticut, and coming to work in New York, I have a lot of respect for pizzerias who get creative with their pies, and attempt to separate themselves from the pack.

This attempt, however, may have taken it a bit too far.

Way out west near Buffalo, lies the town of Cheektowaga, New York. Within the town of Cheektowaga lies Macy's Place Pizzeria, a pizza place that claims on their Twitter page that they are "saving lives one pizza slice at a time".

How chivalrous of them.

Now, I'll be the first to admit: I think I am out on this. While Turkey Day is one of my favorite holidays, and remains largely underrated by the "holiday season starts in October" crowd, I would rather have my Thanksgiving fixins' the traditional way: on a plate the size of an 18-wheeler's tire.

With all of that being said, I give Macy's a ton of credit for thinking outside the box. They're trying to capitalize on the holiday-before-the-holiday spirit, and I commend them for doing so.

A pizza, however, cannot be overstuffed in my opinion. The simplicity in a two-topping pizza is one of life's true blessings, and not enough people take the time to appreciate that.

All of this being said, as long as you stuff your face with *something* involving turkey, gravy and sides on Turkey Day, I can rest easy.
