At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 23rd, the 11-story building on Howard Street in downtown came down in seconds to a crowd of onlookers at Empire State Plaza.

The building was prepared over the course of three weeks. Originally, it was scheduled for the previous Tuesday, but was pushed to Saturday. Take a look at the striking video courtesy of WNYT.com:
