Wale Is ‘51.4 Percent’ Sure His Album ‘Shine’ Will Drop a Week Early

Wale fans can hardly wait to get their hands and ears on the new sounds off of his highly-anticipated Shine album, and it looks like he's making sure they hear it sooner than later.

While hosting a listening party for the project at Genius in Brooklyn, NY last night (April 26), the "LoveHate Thing" rapper announced that Shine would be dropping a week earlier than expected.

After annotating some of album's new lyrics live for the audience and livestream viewers at home, Wale revealed that the project would hit the public this Friday, April 28, pushing the release date up by a week, as it was originally set to release next week, Friday, May 5.

According to him, as well as Rob Markman of Genius, who was able to convince the rapper to make the bold move, the project will be accessible tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see if his record label approves.

"The love.The energy from my ppl tonight was next lvl .Im on the phone wit the label tryna get this album moved up .I'm 51.4 % sure I cn," Wale wrote on Twitter.

It's not exactly confirmed that the album will drop at midnight, but since the D.C. native's MMG head, Rick Ross, was in the building last night, we're sure that there is enough pressure hitting the record label.

We'll have to wait and see what happens with Shine tonight, but for now, stay tuned for more updates.
