Underground Explosion In Downtown Albany

People in the downtown Albany area thought the Mayans prediction was off a few months on Wednesday. Gas ignited underground and blew manhole covers off several streets.

North Pearl will be closed between State Street and Columbia Street overnight but will re-open in the morning.
