The Weeknd is opening up in his first major interview and the singer is revealing his true feelings about the man who helped introduce him to the world, Drake.

In an interview with Complex, the Canadian singer says that he and Drizzy, who collaborated with him on songs like 'The Zone' and 'Crew Love,' are on good terms despite rumors.

In reference to people thinking the two are "not cool," the Weeknd shoots the beef talk down. "No, that’s not true. Definitely not true. But it makes sense. The thing about Drake is I told him what my decisions were going to be. And he was down with it from the beginning," says the singer.

"I was going to go my own route. And he supported me," he explains further.

He also shares that several songs on Drake's sophomore LP, 'Take Care,' were actually meant for him. "'Crew Love,' 'Shot for Me' and 'The Ride' were supposed to be on ‘House of Balloons.’ I wanted to come out with like 14 records. I felt like 'The Ride' was the last one, and it wasn’t done yet. [Drake] heard it and he was like, 'This s---’s crazy.' I was hungry at that time. I was like, 'Dude, take anything.'"

Besides talking up Drake, the Weeknd explains the inspiration for his forthcoming album, 'Kiss Land' and his admiration for R. Kelly.
