The Weeknd traveled across the pond to make his first U.K. television appearance on BBC TV's popular variety show 'Later… With Jools Holland.' The singer, aka Abel Tesfaye, sung a haunting rendition of 'Wicked Games.'

Backed by a four-piece band and two background singers, the Weeknd brought the pain and despair to Holland's audience with his solemn performance. It's starts off slow with just Tesfaye's piercing falsetto begging for affection from an unrequited lover. Near the end of the song, the drums intensifies and charging guitars roar as the background singers croon, "I'll give you all of it / I need confidence in myself."

The Weeknd just released his 'Trilogy' album, which features three new tracks. Next month, the singer will bring his act to Power 106's Cali Christmas concert on Dec. 14.
