Get ready for a new restaurant chain with food so good you’ll smack ya momma!  Texas Roadhouse is set to open its first Capital Region location on August 1st.  The steak and ribs chain will set up shop at 105 Wolf Road.

Hip hop heads will forgive the country-theme and line dancing waitresses when they sample the num nums.  They earned a name for themselves with their steaks and ribs, in particular.  They pride themselves in making all their selections from scratch (except for some of kid’s menu items).  The restaurant is also known for supplying free buckets of peanuts at each table.

Some of their menu items include:

The Blossom – Hand-battered, golden-fried onion slices.

Fried Pickles – A heaping basket of hand-battered, golden-fried pickle chips.

Texas Red Chili – Made from scratch.

Rattlesnake Bites – Rounds of diced, hand-battered and lightly fried jalapenos.

Porterhouse T-Bone – A 23 ounce filet + New York Strip combo steak.

Bone-In Ribeye – A 20 ounce flavorful steak served with peppercorn sauce.

Fall-Off-The-Bone-Ribes – Award winning, slow-cooked ribs with a unique blend of seasonings and their signature BBQ sauce.

Country Fried Chicken – Tender all white meat chicken breast smothered in made-from-scratch cream gravy.

They also offer traditional American food like grilled salmon, fried catfish, shrimp, burgers and salads.
