Ryan Fitzpatrick played 17 seasons in the NFL, mostly as a back-up quarterback. Say what you want about the bearded journeyman QB, but you have to be pretty good to stick around for 17 years in the NFL. And, for every shortcoming Fitzpatrick had as a field general, he made up for as an entertainer.
Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills fans clicked from day one. The journeyman quarterback was easy to relate to for the self-proclaimed blue collar fanbase. A deceiving love-affair because Fitzpatrick graduated from Harvard but antics like going shirtless in the stands, while cheering on the Bills, despite below-zero temperatures, made him a Bills Mafia icon for life. Even his buddy quarterback Josh Allen paid tribute Fitzpatrick prior to Thursday's division game vs. the New England Patriots by wearing a #14 Fitzpatrick jersey.
Problems for most of us are relative. So, when a former New York Jets quarterback suggests that Tom Brady has a problem, I immediately rule out that it is an issue on the playing field. In the span of TB12's playing career he has played in 9 Super Bowls. In that same span of time, actually in the last 53 years, the Jets have not played in a single Super Bowl. So, logic leads us to the difficulty being off the playing field.
