Stop looking for hand-outs and start grinding. It's probably a message that many rappers have to tell the people around them, and Snoop Dogg made a song about it called "Promise You This."

Lyrically, the Dogg Father plays the role of someone's dad or uncle who reminds the younger ones how difficult they had it.

"N---- had to walk 'bout four days / These n--gas acting like h--s nowadays / When I was young I used to hustle for my own sh-t / At 20 n--ga slanging with them insane Crips / I made my way out they call me Snoop Eastwood / Didn't forget where I came from, went back to the hood," he rapped.

Meanwhile, Snoop is promoting his upcoming tour called Mount Kushmore, that'll feature some of the biggest weed activists in hip-hop like Method Man and Redman, plus, Cypress Hill.

There will also be some newer acts on the bill such as Wiz Khalifa, Flatbush Zombies and Lil Uzi Vert, just to name a few. You can check out an ad for the tour below, as well as the "Promise You This" single.
