It has been hotter than average summer here in Upstate New York, but will we see any days that rank among the hottest in Albany history?

You may find it hard to believe, but no days this summer have even cracked Albany's list of the 15 hottest.

I was actually shocked by this first stat because I figured the number would be higher. But since temperature records have been kept, the National Weather Service says Albany has only hit or surpassed the century mark 15 times. And I found this next stat even hotter, or harder to believe: we have not hit 100 degrees in Albany since 1953! How is that possible?

Maybe with a hot summer ahead, this will be the year we finally break the century mark and add to this list of the hottest days in Albany history!
