An announcement made by Albany County has been made to set up a Schenectady County Community College satellite campus in downtown Albany. Satellite campuses are set up to serve students who can’t travel far from home to attend an institution. Long story short, you’ll be able to attend SCCC without leaving Albany.

According to the Times Union’s coverage, SCCC will use 10,000 square feet on the 2nd floor of the Albany County headquarters on State Street. 1,000 students are expected to take advantage of the new location.

Parking will be available for students next to the Times Union Center. More info can be found here.
