Boosie BadAzz, Yelawolf, Saweetie and More: New Projects This Week
The third month of the year is going out with a slew of bangers from a few veterans, female rappers and artists that are next up.
The gold-certified USC graduate, Saweetie, who a year ago released High Maintenance and recently collaborated with Lil Wayne for Kid Ink’s “YUSO” single, returns with her latest offering. Her Icy EP is seven songs long and features records like “Hot Boy” and “Dipped in Ice,” as well as a couple of special guest appearances from her boyfriend, Quavo.
Boosie BadAzz is back for the third time in the last six months. The legend from Louisiana dropped the Christmas-themed Savage Holidays last Christmas and the blues-inspired Boosie Blues Cafe a month before on Thanksgiving, and now delivers BadAzz 3.5. Throughout the 15 tracks found on the outspoken rapper’s latest album he represents for the streets, shows love to his ride or die chick on “Bonnie & Clyde” and brings it back with Webbie for the “Good Ol Days.”
Yelawolf returns with his latest offering, Trunk Muzik 3. Catfish Billy offers 14 new tracks for the third tape in the series, which began back in 2010. The project does not include the Alabama rapper's recent song release "Bloody Sunday," which finds him dissing Post Malone and G-Eazy.
