Saratoga Springs’ 86-Year Old Banjo Man Battling Terminal Form Of Cancer
His real name is Cecil Myrie, and locals know him as the "banjo man". He can play multiple instruments, but his favorite seems to be the banjo.
His daughter Natasha Myrie says "Just last week the doctors gave him 3 months to live. The man who brought so much joy and happiness into peoples lives needs some help. We need help with medical bills and his memorial services when the time comes to that."
On Natasha's Facebook page she adds: "If any of his friends or fans want to visit him he is in Saratoga Hospital in room 314 on the 3rd floor."
UPDATE: We have learned that Cecil Myrie died on 10/8. From Go Fund Me:
I am very sad to write this morning my father Cecil Myrie a.k.a the banjo man has finally walked threw the gates of heaven. He is at east and out of pain. It is a great loss to my entire family.. Thank you to everyone for there support.
