They call Rick Ross "the boss" for a reason, and he continues to prove why. The Miami rapper is not only a veteran MC in the rap game, but he's also quite the entrepreneur.

Ross not only owns the rights to his Maybach Music Group label, he also owns multiple Wingstop locations around the country. Now, the God Forgives, I Don't artist is investing into a new fast-food franchise. According to a new video posted to Uproxx, Ross has bought himself a Checkers restaurant franchise in Carol City, Florida.

In the new footage, he explains, “Checkers is the #1 hamburger in the game. The boss said it. The #1 french fries in the game. The boss said it." Being that he grew up in Carol City, Ross talked about why he decided to buy a franchise in his old hometown. He stated, “What made me come back and buy Checkers, I had a lot of reasons. Providing jobs, investing back into the community, staying in touch with where you’re from. We can come back and say that a piece of this is ours. Carol City, the city of Miami, is going to be proud.”

Buying back the block is definitely becoming a bigger trend in hip hop. Just last week, Slim Thug revealed that he is buying plots of land in his old neighborhood, where he will be rebuilding houses for his community. Check out the video of Rick Ross at Checkers in Carol City above.
