The artist formerly known as Rich Chigga is kicking off 2018 with a new name and a new banger.

The "Dat $tick" rapper will now go by Rich Brian, and he's just announced the name change with the release of his most personal record to date, "See Me." The song has a mix of trap vibes and a mellow feel.

"See me run, see me run/Run until my lungs might give/Runnin' for the front, I feel like Usain in this bitch (ayy)," he rhymes on the bridge. "Passin' all these runners, number one is in my list/Blinders on me, I can't even see/See me in my tour bus by myself/Call me selfish 'cause I got me and nobody else/Give myself another look just like it's prettier/Twenty mirrors in my crib, I'm hanging with my friend."

The track resides on his upcoming album, Amen, which is slated to drop on Feb. 2.

As far as the name change goes, it seems to be another solid attempt by the Asian entertainer to be taken more seriously. XXL spoke with Rich Brian during his rise to fame in September 2016, and he talked about his moniker and how it could sometimes be a hindrance. "The name is something I came up with a long ass time ago and I didn’t know what I was doing," he said. "I know a lot of people are offended by it but at the same time a lot of people don’t really care and fuck with it. I don’t think that it should matter that much but it’s understandable if it offends people. I’m definitely not making fun of hip-hop."
